Joshua Richland

I am an incoming PhD student in the Department of Statistics at Harvard University. Previously, I received my MS in Statistics from Stanford University (2026) and my BA in Data Science from the University of California, Berkeley (2024).

At Stanford, I had the privilege of working with Professor Robert Tibshirani on statistical methods for high-dimensional genomics data and interpretable variable selection methods in statistical learning. Before that, I also had the pleasure of working with Professor Alexander Strang in the UC Berkeley Department of Statistics during my undergraduate studies.

My research interests include machine learning, statistical learning, and methodological research for reliable data science.
